We are an exciting NEW business eager to teach the world about one of the world's oldest hobbies—beekeeping! Located in the beautiful Welsh countryside of Powys, we offer an amazing opportunity to receive a "hands on" educational experience, located near the famous book town, Hay-On-Wye.

When does booking open/close each year?

The season for experiences beings from mid-April and ends in mid-September - weather dependent.

Are the sessions weather-dependent?

Yes. Please be sure to check your emails on the day of your booking, as we may have to contact you to cancel your appointment due to poor weather - we cannot open hives when it's too cold or raining! We will re-schedule, or may have to refund you.

What's the age limit?

All ages are welcome, but we recommend that children under 5 years of age should not be handling the bees. Remember that under 16s go FREE with our Family Package.

What should I bring on the day?

Please makes sure to bring with you suitable footwear for potentially muddy terrain - wellies are advised! Please make sure you have sufficient, suitable clothing for the weather on the day - DO NOT bring brightly coloured clothing.

Will I get stung?

We have to take precaution and warn you that you may well get stung on these experiences. We will ask you to sign a disclaimer on the day you arrive to warn you that we do not accept the liability of injury in the unlikely event of you getting stung for any reason. Is there local accommodation?

Can I buy Honey?

Honey is available to purchase once extraction and bottling is completed in August. The Beekeeper will update those who desire a jar with more information.
